What happens during a coaching session?

Each session is tailored to your needs. We may:

  • Clarify your goals
  • Break large tasks into manageable steps
  • Develop personalized strategies
  • Problem-solve obstacles
  • Build routines and systems
  • Practice new skills
  • Celebrate your progress
  • Create an action plan for the week ahead

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

According to the International Coaching Federation (ICF), the main difference is that therapy focuses on healing past events and mental health to resolve issues, while coaching focuses on setting goals, the present, and future actions to unlock a person's potential.

Do I need a formal diagnosis?

No, an official diagnosis from a mental health professional is not mandatory. If you suspect you have ADHD, and believe you will benefit from coaching, we can work together on achieving your goals.

How often will we meet?

The frequency of our meetings depends entirely on your goals and the level of support you need.

For example, if you're actively looking for a job, we may meet twice a week to keep your momentum going, prepare for interviews, review your progress, and adjust your strategy as opportunities arise.

If you're working on longer-term goals, weekly or bi-weekly sessions may be enough. As you become more confident and independent, many clients choose to meet less frequently.

We'll create a schedule that works best for you.

What kinds of goals can you help me with?

Clients often seek coaching for:

  • Starting and finishing projects
  • Managing overwhelm
  • Improving focus
  • Developing routines
  • Organizing home or work
  • Job searching
  • Interview preparation
  • Career changes
  • Improving communication
  • Reducing procrastination
  • Managing emotional dysregulation
  • Increasing self-confidence
  • Accountability
